The music teacher, Irene Lahr, thanks the musicians for their performance, and The Mahwah Schools Foundation for making this concert possible.
Master musicians perform Senegalese music for 5th grade students at Joyce Kilmer School. The internationally renowned drummer, Mar Gueye, plays authentic African music and teaches the children about the cultures of West Africa. This concert is the first in a series of three in the Ashanbaye Grant that was awarded to Ms. Irene Lahr, the music teacher at JK.
