The Mahwah Schools Foundation is a non-profit organization that works to promote and support the students in our community by seeking alternative ways to fund school programs that might otherwise remain beyond the reach of a hard-stretched school budget. The Foundation seeks to provide such things as student scholarships, classroom grants for teachers, and the increased availability of technology to students and teachers in all our schools. The MSF is successful in our endeavors through the combined efforts of families, friends and business leaders such as you. Through these donations and partnerships, we are able to assist the students who are tomorrow's leaders.

On Sunday, October 4, 2009 The Mahwah Schools Foundation will host the 12th Annual 10K Race/5K Run/2K Family Fun Walk in Darlington County Park. The Mahwah Run is a community celebration of running, walking, live entertainment, food and activities for the whole family.

Last year over 1,000 people ran, walked, volunteered or cheered as spectators. In addition to increased runner involvement, we were also fortunate to have a strong presence from our local teachers, civic groups and business community. This year’s event will once again highlight the best of what Mahwah has to offer, including beautiful scenery, hospitality and community spirit. We are expecting an even larger turnout as we continue to evolve into a community festival of events for all ages and skill levels.

With school budget challenges affecting the ability to provide the best education for our children, now is a critical time for you to become involved. Your support will help our schools go beyond budget limitations and will help to provide unique and innovative programming for our students and teachers. Business sponsorship remains an important contribution to this event and we look forward to your joining in the festivities.
